The teaching
In Vayikra, on Yom Kippur, the Kohen Gadol loads the nation's sins onto a goat and sends it into the wilderness — over the edge of a cliff. Not metaphor. Embodied transfer.
The sages understood what modern therapy is rediscovering: some burdens cannot be thought away. They must move through the body.
In Tai Chi, we call this deep release — weight draining from locked tissue downward into the earth. Not forced. Surrendered.
Stand now. Soften your shoulders. Feel gravity drawing the holding from your chest into the ground.
Release is a physical act before it becomes a mental one.
